Veins

As the days shorten and temperatures become crisp, leaf veins gradually close. These clogged veins trap sugar in the leaf, which can appear in shades of red, purple and crimson.

I took this photo with my Tamron 105 macro in natural light at ISO 100, F8, 1 second.
